so the response ive gotten from the email i sent out about this blog has been good. my aunt seemed excited (waves) and im sure my cousins, mj and jenny will be reading too. Ive also heard from quite a few friends who seem to be pleased. good good.
i promise, frequent updates. ill be the first to admit that im adicted to the internet. so the more posts and comments, the merrier.
things to do, i must finish cleaning my apt. Dan arrives home tomorrow afternoon, and i wont want to spend time cleaning and working while i could be spending time with him. I offered to get a gift for dans nephew, whos birthday party is on sunday (at the same time as my brothers) so tomorrow ill head to toys r us or some other store with baby toys. owen is one year old. :o)
i just realized that... ahhh... uhmmm... all my sheets are in the washer. wet. and its 1 am. i really need to work on going to bed at a normal, human time. sigh. im just not a morning person. im a night owl. a night owl who needs 9 hours of sleep. quite a cunnundrum.
ok kids, past my bedtime. ill have to settle for a comforter and mattress pad. theres no way im waiting up for sheets.
gnite all

good news and weekend events
Good Good, Very GOOD news.
Dan was placed with an internship in chicago. that fabulous. thats amazing. that makes me very happy.
ok. now that ive scraped myself off the ceiling...
In other news, the siblings will be home this weekend, and haynes family fun can begin. Pauls birthday party is on sunday, and it sounds like all my aunts and uncles on my moms side will be coming. Which is good, we havent seen them in a while. We dont seem to get together as often since my grandfather passed away. Its sad for lots of reasons.
so, my weekend looks like this, laundry, cleaning, grading tests, and then party party party. I have such an exciting life. lord knows.
happy friday to all. im off to do lesson plans.

no time to 'splain, let me sum up.
Quick summary-
I am currently teaching at Montini Catholic High School in the chicago suburbs.
I teach Basic Algebra for freshman, Honors Sophomore Geometry, and C++ and Java computer programming.
I LOVE my job.
My boyfriend, Dan is at the moment, in europe. He is attending Miami Advertizing School and will be finished next june. That means he spent a year living in Miami, 3 months study abroad in Amsterdam, and neither he, nor I, have any clue as to where he will be for the next 9 months. It's and adventure to say the least.
My lovely parents also live in the chicago suburbs with my 10 yr old brother. (today is his birthday!) and when they arent at school, my two sisters.
Stephanie is attending the University of Illinois, my alma mater. Steph is majoring in Computer Engineering. Shes a pretty smart cookie.
Kaylin is attending Marquette University in wisconsin. Shes majoring in math education, and she hopes to minor in art. shes a pretty smart cookie too.
I am currently living in an apt with my roomate in wheaton. Peggy is engaged to be married to another of my good friends, Lonnie, in Oct. of 2005.
I think thats a good start. Lord knows there will be more updates as I go. :)

new beginnings
Well, ive decided. im doing it. im striking out into unknow territory. Ive kept a journal of sorts for years and years, but this will be my first totaly public web log. I wanted a place to post updates on life, whats going on, and some of my other general rantings that i feel the world would be a better place for having heard. So welcome, friends, family, countrymen. feel free to leave a note and let me know you stopped by.
